Just a Few Reasons why I love Origami

- It is an ancient art form that is still evolving with more and more people around the world becoming interested, taking the basic art form into many different directions.

- It can be a very relaxing, meditative craft, yet it can be a very challenging art form.

- In general, it is not an expensive craft; although origami paper can be expensive, any paper can be used.

- Using printed paper, including newspapers, magazines, office paper, gift wrap, etc is a great way to recycle.

- It is a portable craft; it can be done anywhere, anytime.

- All you need is paper and a flat surface.

- It is an art form that can be quite impressive and entertaining for others to watch.

- It is a great way to share and spend time with loved-ones.

- It has been a favorite teaching tool.

- It is precise and logical and can be helpful for teaching kids many important skills.

- Yet, it is quite entertaining for kids, and they usually have a lot of fun making and playing with all kinds of models.

- It can be a great party project, or just something to do while you have to wait or when your hands are idle.

- Yet, it can save you a lot of money when using it for a wedding, birthday party or other occasion.

- You can fold vertually anything from any kind of paper to match your decor or the theme for a special occasion.

- Some origami models are very simple and fun to fold, while some others are extremely complex, and the end-result just spectacular and awesome!

- It allows for creativity in terms of creating new models or variations on older ones.

- It has been associated with peace and goodwill in various ways.

- It enables one to give hand-made items to others.

- A small origami model is a gift that can say many special things.

- It can be used in many creative ways for fund-raising and charity events or for awareness-raising.

- It has a lot of practical value in maths and science and can be very useful in real life situations.

- It can be used for all occasions to decorate your home or class or office.

- It can successfully be combined with other arts and crafts like scrap booking and card making, especially to create texture and other tactile effects.

- It can be adapted and used in conjunction with other crafts and techniques and is especially useful for creating easy projects for children and/or people with disabilities.

- I am sure there must be many more reasons, but I hope that these should help to explain just a little about the nature of origami.
